Environmental Science
This course is designed to introduce students to major ecological concepts and the environmental problems which affect the world in which they live. Students explore the impact of technology, examine social issues, and explore possible solutions. The goal of the course is to provide students with the scientific principles, concepts, and methodologies required to understand the interrelationships of the natural world, to identify and analyze environmental problems both natural and man-made, to evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and to examine alternative solutions for resolving and/or preventing them.
